Happy Loy Krathong 2010!
We just wanted to share a few happy and breathtaking moments from our vacation!
These captures are from the Yi Ping festival near the Mae Jo University i Chiang Mai on the 20:th November. The Thousand Khom Fai's (Lanterns) are released simultaneously after a Buddhist ceremony paying homage to the Lord Buddha. At the peak a fireworks are launched to increase the experience of burning out negative emotions.
The amount of people and the traffic jam's will maybe make more difficult for us to come back next year. However, if you never experienced it before and wish to experience something out of this world we warmly welcome you to pay a visit. Please prepare for a long and arduous journey back home to your living quarters or residence.
Bring a lot of patience and a big smile on your face and you'll be fine!
